Ottawa Photonic North 2007 Report of the day show June, 6-7 2007 Location: Ottawa Congress Center Number of visitors: 1400 Number of brochure given: 375 Number of lead: 46 Number of exhibitors: 84 Students from: N/A
OBSERVATION: Photonic Optic. This is a new technology introduced in the early 90's for the telecom industry. Since that time, Photonic Optic has been increasing in importance in convergence with electronics. This new technology will put the electronic equipment industry to the next level For that reason electronic firms should follow very closely the activity of those involved R&D in the photonic optic field. That will be the next road in matter of technologies for control, instrumentation, imaging and more Ottawa is one of the leading centres for photonics research, teaching and commercialization and is home to over 100 photonics companies This photonic North 2007 was very well attended by the research and engineering of that technology. This show was combined with the ETOP (Education Training Optic Photonic) ETOP is the single international conference dedicated to the exchange of ideas and experiences related to education and training in optics and photonics. The conference was first held in 1988 from that time it is increasing in matter of importance *ADVANTAGE: For the Electronic Firm that was exhibiting this opportunity to know the player in that technology and follow the evolution For the first time our electronic group was present and we delivered a lot of brochure and literature at this point we will not see big request but a good follow up system will be required One of the reason for this behaviour is that manufacture of this technology are building in a low scale but those equipments are in the range of 6 number price wise Photonic optic it a new niche and will be very important in the near future Comment for the show:
