*OBSERVATION: The ''Salon Industriel de Québec'' Quebec's largest forum for domestic and international manufacturers and distributors
to display the full range of manufacturing machinery,plan-floor automation technology and support products:
*ADVANTAGE:
The ''Salon Insdustriel de Québec'' exhibitors as well as visitors are the customer base for the local (Canadian) electronics industry
All the equipment displayed throughout the show, uses electronicsat different levels and at this show we could see and visualize
the big players in these industries and propose the services of our members. The primary impact was the exhibitors themselves (480).
Electronics is now everywhere and with these equipment manufacturers, both exhibitors and visitors in the medium size category,
And the prospects for the electronics field is enormous, A China and India corporation is limited by the quantities and R&D involved.
So those fields are very important for the electronics industriesattendance at this show is a must
*Comments for the show:
The three day show was very well attended with the visitors coming in a steady flow
Starting:
From Tuesday, 1h00pm to 21.00pm
Wednesday, 1h00pm to 21.00 pm
Thursday, 1h00pm to 21h00pm
1) The first day was for students with a total of 372 from different colleges One institute which is very important to our field of activity is the
college of Levis. Their course was in electromechanical (future customers for electronic fields)
No wonder why we were almost cleaned out of literature and with all this literature in circulation it promising for the next generation
(And not surprising our supply of literature and brochures was depleted at final closing)
2) First all the exhibitors with their budget bring all their sale force, so we see exhibitors as visitors and even those not involved with the production and engineering took brochures for their colleagues 3) Naturally the visitors were a mix of workers for the exhibitors and their customers including maintenance people, production, technicians,
engineering people from all levels of industry.
4) In Quebec city most manufacturers are distributors so we should consider more the maintenance and R&D.
As a suggestion to manufacture of Electronic assembly a new department should be considered. We should discuss this matter in more
confidentially. The chance of business is enormous in this field It competes with the AMEX Show in Toronto for the quality of potential customers. Special comment: We noticed again that there were no electronic manufacturers on display. I think our Industry is missing a great opportunity
