Tour of our companies. This project deals with inviting electronic enterprises active in high-tech electromechanical engineering to visit the leading companies in this industrial segment. This tour will give the local companies the opportunity to demonstrate their technology, products, services and leadership in the electronic industry.
*Advantage: For the companies being visited, this allows them to better assess their own capability to do business locally in order to enhance their visibility and promote their products and services in the eyes of researchers and decision makers in the electromechanical field. This exchange of views will allow companies to find new business opportunities and projects, and to be better known and accepted in the local market. For the exhibitors this allow them to present their product and service in front of an audience of decision makers each exhibitors have 5 minutes to perform their presentation Each special guests, governments, magazines, special organizations and associations have 5 minutes to present their program, mission and activity The networking session is very well appreciate that give the opportunity to make good contact

This was greatly appreciated by the attendees and it was apparent that each technical person had a broad knowledge of their products and services The audience appreciated the associations' input
We had two technical's subjects 1)Principles of Better Stencils (60 minutes): Discussion on stencil parameters, process parameters, board variables and many other issues pertaining to good printing practices and how Stencil selection / fabrication/design affect the printing. Also covered will be differences between stencil types (Electroformed, Laser cut, chemical etch and the newest, alloy stencils) Presented by Mr. Robert Dervaes, V.P. of Technology for Fine Line Stenci
2) Achieving Reliable Solder Joints with a lead-free Alloy ( 60 Minutes): The discussion includes performance considerations in the selection of a lead-free alloy and a reliability comparison of commonly used lead-free alloys. Achieving acceptable results and avoiding defects in the soldering processes; reflow, wave, selective, rework, and hand soldering, are also presented Presented by Jim Wertin, National Technical Manager for FCT Assembly Inc Whit and networking session and a very good BBQ done by Martin Thibodeau, Laser Tech. we ended the event at 1h30 The comments of the attended was positive for this king of event
